A Legacy Rooted in Real Estate

James Dwiggins stands at the helm of NextHome, Inc. as its Chief Executive Officer, continuing a rich family tradition in real estate that spans three generations. With a lineage of real estate professionals including his grandparents and parents, James has real estate deeply ingrained in his DNA, which drives his passion for the industry.

A Visionary's Journey

James’s career in real estate is distinguished by a history of significant achievements and innovations. He embarked on his real estate journey in 2006 with Realty World Northern California & Nevada, starting as the Director of Technology and Strategy. His exceptional leadership and strategic vision led to his promotion to Vice President five years later. In May 2014, alongside Tei Baishiki, he co-founded NextHome and managed both brands until 2020 when Realty World International reacquired the region. In January 2015, James and Tei launched NextHome as an independent national real estate franchise, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Innovations that Transform

Prior to his tenure at Realty World, James co-founded VREO, Inc., with Tei Baishiki. VREO was revolutionary, developing enterprise-level internet applications for agents and brokers and introducing biometric signature software for paperless transactions—a groundbreaking advancement in the real estate industry. This innovation earned VREO numerous accolades, including the prestigious Inman Innovator Award. Furthermore, James’s entrepreneurial spirit first shone through with his co-founding of USA Virtual Tours, which he expanded nationally until its acquisition in 2001.

An Authority in Real Estate

As a thought leader in the real estate sector, James frequently speaks at industry events and is often sought out by the media for his insights into franchise and technology advancements across various industries. His expertise has not only placed him on the RISMedia Newsmaker list but also on the Swanepoel Power 200 list. Under his leadership, NextHome has been recognized by Franchise Business Review as the number-one real estate franchise—and across industries—in owner satisfaction for three consecutive years.

Personal Pursuits

Born in San Luis Obispo, James grew up with a love for soccer, leading him to join and win with the California state championship team. He studied business and criminal law at Cuesta College, grounding his entrepreneurial ventures in robust academic knowledge. Away from the corporate world, James enjoys riding horses and racing cars, a passion he shares with Tei Baishiki, his long-time business partner and friend since their teenage years.

James also hosts the "Real Estate Insiders Unfiltered" Podcast, where he shares insights and unfiltered conversations on the latest trends in real estate, offering valuable knowledge to professionals across the industry.
